In Teams, teamwork and communication happen in channels. A channel is a single place for a team to share messages, tools, and files.

Channels can be organized by group, project, feature, or whatever is relevant to you.

Threads allow for focused and organized side conversations within channels.
1. Click on the ellipsis (...) next to your Team name, and click Add channel.
2. Fill out the Channel Name and enter a description (optional).
3. Click the dropdown to select the channel type.
a. Standard- Everyone on the team has access to the channel.
b. Shared- People or teams in your org or outside your org have access.
c. Private- Specific people on the team have access .
4. Click the Create button
a. If the channel type is set to private, enter the members you want to invite to that specific channel, and click Add.
