Overview
This article provides step-by-step instructions for initiating an on-demand faculty or preceptor evaluation in Elentra. It is intended for students who would like to submit an evaluation outside of the assigned faculty/preceptor evaluations.
All courses may not have this option enabled. If you are a course director or coordinator and would like to use on-demand evaluations for your course, please submit a ticket to HSIT.

From the Elentra Dashboard, click Start Assessment/Evaluation.

In the On-Demand Workflow drop down, select Faculty Evaluation.

In the Select Target drop down, search for the preceptor by name. You can type into the search bar that appears when you click the drop down.

If the preceptor isn’t listed, click the X to clear the drop down, then select Add External Target. Enter the preceptor’s first name, last name, and email address, then click Add. Reopen the drop down, locate their name, and select it.
Note: Only add an external target if you are completely sure the preceptor does not have an Elentra account.

After selecting a target, a red banner that says "No Assessment Tools found" may appear. You can ignore this message for now.
Select the date range during which you worked with the preceptor.

In the Select Program drop down, choose the course.
If the course allows on-demand evaluations, the red banner will disappear and the evaluation form will appear at the bottom.
If the course does not allow on-demand evaluations, the red banner will remain and no form will appear.
Click Begin Assessment to open the form.

Complete the evaluation form.
Select No from the drop down when you reach the question "Educators are asking for timely feedback on your experience in order to improve their teaching and the quality of future educational experiences. Do you agree to release your feedback to them immediately?"
Click Submit when you have completed the form.
