Student Accommodations: Adding Additional Time
This article is intended for Faculty members with Department-Level Administrative rights and focuses on how to add additional time for students taking Exams in Examsoft and Examplify.
If you do not have Department-Level Administrative rights, then please contact your department administrator and ask them to add the additional time accommodations for you and your students.
Adding Additional Time
If you have Department-level administrative rights in Examsoft, please follow the instructions below to add additional time accommodations for students in your department.

Go into your course and click on the Students tab at the top.

Then click on the Edit (pencil symbol) on the right side of the screen for the student you want to add extra time for.

Next, in the middle of the page there will be three check boxes, click the box for Extra time.

Finally, move the bar so that it indicates the percent of time you want the student to have. Time and a half is 150%, double time is 200%, and so forth.

And finish up by scrolling to the top of the screen and clicking Save in the upper right corner.

Additional Information:

This extra time now applies to every assessment this student takes in this course until the course ends.

This student will have 1.5X time for every Exam in your course in Examsoft.

The amount of additional time can be changed by following the same procedure as outlined above.

You do have to set this up for each student who needs Additional Time.

Once you save an additional time accommodation in Examsoft, it is set for the duration of the course for this course only.

If other courses also have an additional time accommodation, the course instructor will need to set it for their course as well.
