Effective Wednesday, August 12, 2026 – Pittsburgh Campus
Pitt is retiring the WIRELESS-PITTNET and PITT GUEST Wi-Fi network names and replacing them with PittNet and Pitt Guest. If you're on campus before Aug. 12, update your saved Wi-Fi connection now to avoid a disruption.
What is changing?
The Wi-Fi network names (SSIDs) you see and connect to on campus are changing:

When is this happening?
The old network names are retired on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026. After that date, devices still looking for WIRELESS-PITTNET or PITT GUEST WI-FI will not be able to connect.
Do I need to do anything?
- If you're on campus before Aug. 12: Yes – update your saved Wi-Fi connection so you don't lose access. See the step-by-step guide referenced below.
- If you're arriving on campus after Aug. 12: No advance action is needed. Just connect to PittNet or Pitt Guest when you arrive.
Which network should I use?
