Overview

Below are instruction on how to login to a PolyCom VVX 501 telephone with your university computer account.

Sign In Steps
When your phone is signed out, the screen will appear as shown below.
Tap Sign In to begin the process.
Note: If your phone screen is frozen or tapping Sign In does not display a website address, you may need to reset the device. Refer to the Factory Reset section below.

A website address and code will appear on the phone’s screen.

On your computer, open a browser and enter the website address.

When prompted, enter the code displayed on your phone and click Next.

If successful, your phone will show a confirmation message. It may take up to 10 minutes for the phone to finish updating.
Performing a Factory Reset of Your Phone
If your phone is unresponsive or does not display a sign-in option, perform a factory reset:

On the phone’s keypad, press and hold the 1, 3, and 5 buttons at the same time until prompted to enter the Administrator Password. Then release the buttons.

Enter 112233
using the keypad and press Enter on the screen.

The phone will reboot multiple times as it resets and updates. This process can take up to 20 minutes.
Important:
- Do not interact with the phone during the reset.
- If prompted to change an administrator password, ignore the prompt and allow the reset to continue.
- The reset is complete when a Sign-In screen with the Teams logo appears.
Signing In After the Reset
Once the reset is complete and the Sign In screen appears:

Tap Sign In.

A website address and code will display.

Open the website in a browser on your computer.

Enter the code shown on the phone and click Next.

If successful, your phone will show a confirmation message. Allow up to 10 minutes for the phone to update.
