TCP/IP Ports and Protocols for Rees Systems

The following ports are used by Rees Systems:

1. Centron.exe Receives UDP packets on ports from 853 to …
   1. Nodes use UDP packets to communicate directly with workstations. They start looking for an open port starting from 853 + 2 * (NodeNumber-1). If this communication channel is blocked, you will get “Can’t communicate with Node” and white icons.
2. Workstation (Rees.exe) Receives UDP packets on ports from 700 to …
   1. Workstations receive UDP packets to communicate directly with Nodes. Each open Workstation window will start looking for an open port at 700 + 2 * (NodeNumber-1). It will continue searching upward for 1000 ports.
3. PresidioOnTheGo/ReesWeb Receives UDP packets on ports from 700 to …
   1. for Node communications, and TCP port 80 for web communications. PresidioOnTheGo/Reesweb receives UDP packets to communicate directly with Nodes. Each Environmental Node on the system will be opened in turn and will search for an open port starting at port 700. Additionally PresidioOnTheGo/Reesweb uses TCP port 80 by default for web communications.
4. Z3/V2-NET needs 80, 9999, 10001, 30704 Z3/V2
   1. Nets use several ports for different purposes. All must be open for proper function and are connected to via TCP. Port 80 is used for setup and verification of the device. 10001 is used for direct communications with the Z3/V2 coordinator. Coordinator hard-reboots are controlled by 30704. Baud rate changes etc. are handled by 9999.
5. Z3/V2 WiFi modules uses UDP ports: 9750, 9750 + 2*(NodeNumber-1) for each additional Node
   1. By default the Z3/V2-U-X-WF modules communicate with the Node via port 9750. This value can be changed in the Wireless Subsystem Administrator.
6. Z3-NET-POE needs 80, 1000, 10006
   1. Z3 POE Nets use TCP port 80 to program the device and to setup the device via the web. TCP port 1000 is used to program the device. TCP port 10006 is used for direct communications.
7. Z3-NET-IPV6 needs 23, 80, 10005
   1. Z3 POE Nets use TCP port 23 to program the device. TCP port 80 is used to program the device via the web. TCP port 10005 is used for direct communications.
8. V1 NET-BUF uses 1000
   1. Version 1 NET-BUFs communicate via TCP/IP over port 1000
9. C.V-DIALER-IP use ports 80 and 3422 for TCP and UDP Communications
   1. A C.V-Dialer-IP device communicates with Windows using both TCP and UDP packets over port 3422. Web administration can be performed using port 80.
10. C.VoIP-DIALER4 uses ports 80 for TCP communications and ports 5004-5068 for UDP Communications
    1. A C.VoIP-DIALER4 device communicates with Windows using TCP port 80 for web administration and UDP ports 5004-5068 for communications with the Node.
11. Microsoft SQL Server Communicates TCP with Default port number of 1433
    1. Rees Scientific Nodes, workstations, and administrative programs communicate with Microsoft SQL Server on its default port.
12. Oracle Server Uses Default port of 1521 for TCP Communications.
    1. While Oracle does use other ports, 1521 is the most commonly used.
