How to Update Your Saved Wi-Fi Network to PittNet or Pitt Guest

Quick Reference: Windows, macOS, and Linux

Remove the old WIRELESS-PITTNET or PITT GUEST WI-FI network, then connect fresh to PittNet or Pitt Guest. Find your device type below.

Windows 10 and Windows 11

1. Select the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
2. Select Manage known networks.
3. Select WIRELESS-PITTNET (or PITT GUEST WI-FI), then select Forget.
4. Select the Wi-Fi icon again, choose PittNet (or Pitt Guest), and select Connect.
5. Enter your University Computing Account username and password.

macOS

1. Open the Apple menu and select System Settings > Wi-Fi.
2. Select Manage Networks (or Advanced) to view saved networks.
3. Select WIRELESS-PITTNET (or PITT GUEST WI-FI), then select the minus (−) button to remove it.
4. Close Settings, select the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar, and choose PittNet (or Pitt Guest).
5. Enter your University Computing Account username and password, and select Trust if asked about a certificate.

Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, and other GNOME desktops)

1. Open Settings > Wi-Fi.
2. Select WIRELESS-PITTNET (or PITT GUEST WI-FI) from the network list and choose Forget Connection.
3. Select PittNet (or Pitt Guest) from the network list.
4. When prompted, choose WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise with method PEAP and Phase 2 authentication MSCHAPv2.
5. Enter your University Computing Account username and password.
