Using Federated Authorization for Employee Mart Access

Overview

The Employee Mart within the University Data Warehouse holds employment and demographic details of both current and former University employees.  Data in the Employee Mart is updated daily, except on Sundays, and is accessible through Tableau, Cognos, SQL query, and other methods

Access to the Employee Mart is governed by Federated Authorization, ensuring that users only access data necessary for their University duties.

Information Technology has streamlined the access process with the online Federated Authorization system.  This digital process maintains security and auditing standards, eliminating the need for paper forms, manual signatures, and faxing.

To request access to the Employee Mart data including Restricted Access containing sensitive information like demographics, personal identifiers, salary and reason for leaving, log in to the Federated Authorization Community.

Note:  Access to the Employee Mart data is required to request Restricted data, or both may be requested at the same time.
