Subscribe to System Status Alerts
You can sign up to receive an email or text alert about the operational status of the specific systems and services that you use. Learn when a system is down, get updates about its status, and find out when it's back in business.
- Go to status.pitt.edu.
- Click on Subscribe to Updates in the upper right corner.
- Click on the email or phone icon to get notifications by email or text message.
- Enter the appropriate contact info and click the Subcribe button.
- From the Components page, select the checkbox beside the services you wish to follow.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Subscribe to IT Alerts
Stay informed about the latest security vulnerabilities, phishing scams, and system outages with text alerts.
- Log in to pi.tt/alerts.
- Ensure your phone number appears under the Mobile Phones heading.
If it does not, click Add and complete the steps to add your number.
- Click Opt-In Lists at the top of the page.
- Check the box next to IT Alerts.
You can also subscribe by texting italerts <username> to 970-610-6092.*
