This article describes how to rerun a scheduled report or job in Cognos.
Note: The Cognos reports and workloads are being migrated to Tableau. Retirement of the Cognos reporting system is planned for June 30, 2025. Read the announcement here.

Rerun a Scheduled Report That Failed
1. Log in to Cognos.
2. Locate the failed scheduled report and click the … (more) button.
3. Select the desired options and click Run.
Note: If the scheduled report was set to email the report to users, you will need to manually email the report to the recipients. Scheduled jobs will auto resend emails, but scheduled reports will not. This is one of the advantages of a job over a scheduled report.
Rerun a Scheduled Job That Failed
1. Log in to Cognos.
2. Locate the failed scheduled job and click the … (more) button.
3. Click Run.
