Creating and Editing Files in Microsoft Teams

1.  Navigate to the team channel where you want to create a new file, and click the Files option.

     a. Your files will inherit the permissions of the channel (i.e. If a channel is private, only people on that within that channel will have access to those files).

2. Select the dropdown on the New button, and select the file type you want to create.

3. Enter the name of the file and click the Create button. red box around file name and arrow pointing at create button

4. The file type will open and you can begin working in it.

5. To edit the file, click the file link in the files portion of your channel.

    a.  The file can be updated by multiple people at the same time.

    b.  The file will save automatically.
