These dialing instructions apply to University of Pittsburgh faculty and staff using Pitt IT-supported telephony systems on all campuses.

In a life-threatening emergency, always dial 911 immediately.

Pittsburgh Campus

Bradford Campus

  • Emergency (24 hours): 814-368-3211 or 10333 from a campus phone
  • Non-Emergency: 814-362-7500 or 814-362-7507

Greensburg Campus

  • Emergency: 724-836-9865 or 6-9865 from a campus phone

Johnstown Campus

  • Emergency (24 hours): 814-269-7005 or 7005 from a campus phone

Titusville Campus

  • Emergency: 814-827-4488 or 4488 from a campus phone

  • Emergency phones are located throughout each campus and connect directly to campus police.

  • The University of Pittsburgh Police Department provides public safety support at all campuses.

Placing Local and Long-Distance Calls

  • For local and long-distance domestic calls, including to UPMC and regional campuses:

  • From an Avaya phone: Dial 9 + 10-digit number

  • From Microsoft Teams: Dial 10-digit number

International Calls

  • From an Avaya phone: Dial 9 + 011 + country code + city code (omit leading zero if present) + number

  • From Microsoft Teams: Dial 011 + country code + city code (omit leading zero if present) + number
