Download Software from Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (Mac OS)

University owned computers that are managed have the ability to download available titles from the Software Center or Self Service depending on the Operating System and if the department support. Both options allow you to install software with a click rather than needing to find the software, download it, enter administrator access, and install it.

Your device's eligibility are based on your department's management settings. Titles will vary depending on your department, licensing and other variables.

Install available software on Windows

Find the software you are looking for by:

• Press the Windows Key on your keyboard or click on Start.
• Type Software Center.
• Click on Software Center to open it.
• Find the application you are searching for and click on it.
• Click on the blue Install button to start the installation.
• Once it is completed, it will show an option to uninstall it. (Do not click on it.) You will now be able to find it on your Start Menu.
  
   

Install available software on Mac OS

Find the software you are looking for by:

• Go to Applications and find Self Service.
• Find the title of the application you wish to install.
• Click Install.
  
• The progress will be shown on the status dial.
• Once installed, the button turns into Reinstall. (Do not click on it.) You will now be able to find it on your list of Applications.
