IT Systems Status
Pitt Information Technology encourages students, faculty, and staff to opt-in to receive email or text messages about the systems status of Pitt IT services they regularly use and rely on. Subscribers will receive advance alerts for scheduled maintenance, reminders before the start of planned maintenance, and timely notifications in the event of identified issues or outages, as well as resolutions.

Subscribe to Updates
Follow these steps to opt in and select services of interest:
- Visit status.pitt.edu.
- Click Subscribe to Updates on the top right of the screen.
- Enter your email address if you would like to receive notifications about selected services.
- If you have previously subscribed to Pitt IT Systems Status updates, scroll down and check the box next to services that you wish to receive notifications about or uncheck the box next to services that you wish to unsubscribe from.
- If you have not previously subscribed, click Select none next to the word Components at the top of the list. Then scroll down to select services you wish to receive email notifications about.
- Alternatively, click the phone icon at the top of the Subscribe to Updates box and enter your phone number to subscribe to text messages.
