Overview
The View Faculty Center Task in My Pitt is designed to take an Instructor directly to the Faculty Center within the PeopleSoft Student Information System, a short-cut of sorts for Instructors attempting to get to their Class or Grade Roster. If you encounter the "Navigation Collection Cannot Be Found" error, it indicates that the individual does not have access to the Faculty Center.
Detail
If you've clicked on the View Faculty Center Task in My Pitt and receive the error described below, it means that you do not have the appropriate permissions to the Faculty Center within the PeopleSoft Student Information System.
Text of Error Message:
"The Navigation Collection you have specified cannot be found. There are two possible causes for this error: 1) The Navigation Collection specified is invalid or no longer exists, or 2) you do not have access to this Navigation Collection. Contact your portal administrator."
If you are not Faculty or an Instructor teaching a class, please use the PeopleSoft Student Information System task in My Pitt to access the PeopleSoft Student Information System. If you are Faculty or an Instructor teaching a class and believe that you should have access to the Faculty Center, please reach out to your departmental contact to get set up as an Instructor and assigned to the the classes you are teaching.
