Interfolio RPT

Interfolio Review, Promotion & Tenure (RPT) is a comprehensive online platform designed to streamline and modernize the faculty review process at the University of Pittsburgh. This cloud-based system enables departments, schools, and administrative offices to manage promotion, tenure, and review cases in a centralized, secure environment. By digitizing traditionally paper-based workflows, Interfolio RPT helps ensure that review processes are transparent, equitable, efficient, and well-documented while maintaining the principles of shared governance that are essential to academic decision-making.

The platform provides tools for faculty candidates to compile and submit their materials, committees to conduct thorough reviews, and administrators to manage cases through complex approval workflows. With features including secure document storage, automated notifications, external evaluation management, Interfolio RPT supports the entire lifecycle of faculty review from initial case creation through final approval at the Chancellor's Office.

How do I request this service?

We are onboarding schools into Interfolio on a rolling basis. Currently School of Computing and Information is live. We have additional schools that we anticipate coming online in late May/Early June. We anticipate all schools being onboarded by December 31, 2026.

Incident Support Process

Technical assistance from Interfolio is obtained through submission of service requests/help tickets directly to Interfolio Support, if needed.
