About This Service

Key Features

  • Emergency Facility Requests
    • Emergency repairs are identified as highly time sensitive issues that jeopardize patient care (air compressors not working, etc.), are safety concerns (gas leaks, etc.) or issues that will result in damage if left unaddressed (significant plumbing leaks, leaking sprinkler heads, etc.).
    • As this type of situation arises, please contact Pitt FM (412-624-9512) or Pitt Police (412-624-2121) directly to expedite response as quickly as possible.  After making this connection, please alert the Dental Medicine Facilities and Operations Office at 412-648-8880 as soon as possible for follow up with the responding entities.
  • Dental Equipment Requests
    • ​​​​​Dental Equipment Service Requests
    • Benco Dental services and maintains most dental equipment within Pitt Dental Medicine.
    • New/replacement equipment request
  • Facilities Maintenance
    • All non-emergency facility requests can be placed through the online request form including requests such as: hot/cold calls, stained ceiling tiles, slow drips/minor leaks, etc.
    • Requests will be documented and submitted to Pitt Facilities Management for repair. 
  • Custodial Issues and Requests
    • Any urgent or emergency custodial issues should be called in to Pitt Facilities Management at 412-648-9512 so they can quickly dispatch available staff.
    • Please submit any custodial issues or concerns including issues with routine services in offices, conference spaces, classrooms, clinical areas, labs, etc. 
  • Facility Access and Key Requests
    • Any issues with university issued ID access for exterior facility entry or internal spaces
    • Any key requests for new faculty/staff or a change in role that requires additional access.  Please note that you will need to provide a departmental code account number for the cost of the keys.
  • Mover Requests
    • ​​​​​​​.​​Any requests that require the University Movers to assist with relocating office furniture, equipment, etc. 
  • Special Events Set-Up Requests
    • ​​​​​​​Any table/chair or other special events set-up requests needs.  Most requests will need to be submitted through Pitt Facilities and will require a departmental code account number for any rental and labor costs associated with the event.
