LabArchives Login Issues - Password Incorrect

Overview

When attempting to log in to LabArchives, especially if you've used it before joining Pitt, some users experience an error that their password is incorrect. If this happens, and your Pitt password works for logging into any other Pitt Passport SSO website, you should follow the below steps to reset the password on the LabArchives account. Once reset and logged in with the updated password, you may be prompted to connect your account to Pitt Passport SSO.

 

Detail

To reset your LabArchives password (not your Pitt password):

  • Go to https://mynotebook.labarchives.com/forgot and enter your Pitt email address
  • Follow the instructions that will be emailed to you and create a temporary LabArchives password
  • Follow any on-screen instructions to connect your account to Pitt Passport SSO
  • Once completed, your account will be connected to the Single Sign-On for Pitt, and you'll use your Pitt password to login to LabArchives through Pitt Passport. You will no longer need the temporary password created earlier.
