How Faculty Can Access Their PeopleSoft Grade Rosters

Introduction

This article is intended for Faculty and/or class Instructors looking to access the PeopleSoft Grade Roster to enter Mid-Term or Final Grades.

 

Information

Access the PeopleSoft Faculty Center Grade Roster from myPitt

  1. Select the View Faculty Center Tile/Task
  2. Select My Schedule
  3. Confirm the correct Term's schedule is displayed, noting Fall, Spring and Summer, and the Academic Calendar Year.
    1. If the Term displayed is not correct, select the Change Term button to switch to the desired Term.
  4. Select the Grade Roster Icon next to the desired class to access the Grade Roster for that class.
  5. Within Display Options, confirm the Grade Roster Type is displaying the desired Grade Roster, Final Grade or Mid-Term Grade. Use the dropdown to change if necessary.
  6. Use the Roster Grade dropdown to select the desired grade for each student on the Grade Roster.
    1. Note, if Official Grade is already populated for a student, a Roster Grade cannot be entered (the student has already been issued a grade for the class).
  7. After a Roster Grade has been selected for all students on the Grade Roster, under Grade Roster Action, change the Approval Status to Approved, then click Save.
  8. The Grade Roster will post at midnight. Once posted, the Roster Grades will become the Official Grades and then be visible to the students.

Alternative Methods to Access the PeopleSoft Grade Roster

  1. From myPitt, select the PeopleSoft Student Information System Tile/Task
  2. From the PeopleSoft Home Page
    1. Option 1: Click the Classic Home tile, then using the top left navigation bar, select Main Menu > Self Service > Faculty Center > My Schedule
    2. Option 2: Using the top right NavBar (compass icon), select Main Menu > Self Service > Faculty Center > My Schedule

Access the PeopleSoft/HighPoint CX Grade Roster from myPitt

  1. Select the PeopleSoft/HighPoint CX Tile/Task
  2. Select Grade Roster from the left side menu of the Dashboard
  3. Confirm the correct Term's schedule is displayed, noting Fall, Spring and Summer, and the Academic Calendar Year.
    1. If the Term displayed is not correct, select the Term dropdown to switch to the desired Term.
  4. Select the desired class
  5. Select View Details for desired Grade Roster Type, Mid-Term Grade or Final Grade.
  6. Use the Roster Grade dropdown to select the desired grade for each student on the Grade Roster.
    1. Note, if Official Grade is already populated for a student, a Roster Grade cannot be entered (the student has already been issued a grade for the class).
  7. After a Roster Grade has been selected for all students on the Grade Roster, click Submit Grades, then click Continue when prompted.
  8. Click Approve Grades, then click Continue when prompted. Approval Status in the upper left should display APPROVED.
  9. The Grade Roster will post at midnight. Once posted, the Roster Grades will become the Official Grades and then be visible to the students.

Alternative Methods to Access the PeopleSoft/HighPoint CX Grade Roster

  1. From the PeopleSoft Home Page, select the Campus Experience (CX) Tile
  2. Follow instructions starting with Step 2 above.
