Overview
This article is intended for PeopleSoft Federated Authorization Security Contacts and explains how to run the User/Role Security Report. This report provides a Peoplesoft security overview of the privileges granted to a Peoplesoft User or a specific Role. The User version is a summary of Roles and Row Level Security. The Role version includes details of the access provided by the Role, including navigation.
The report is accessible only to PeopleSoft Federated Authorization Security Contacts, those with PeopleSoft Security Role SA_VIEW_SECURITY_CONTACTS or SA_VIEW_SECURITY.
Detail
User Role Security Report (UXCC117A) provides information about Roles and Row Level Security for User by selecting 'User' as Report Type. PeopleSoft users who have access can generate this report for evaluating the Roles and Row Level Security of a specified user, which could be helpful when needed to request similar access for another user.
This report can also be generated for specified Roles by selecting 'Roles' as Report Type. The report will contain information about Permission List, Menu Name, Component Name, Page Name, Page Item Name and Display Only information. As this report also contains Component Actions such as Add, Display etc., and the navigation to a page, Functional Lead users and Data Stewards can find this report helpful in requesting various Roles for a users.

Alternatively, you can view the Roles for a user by:
- Navigating to Main Menu > PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > User Profiles
- Enter the username of the person you want to view next to "begins with" and click Search
- Click the Roles tab. The individuals first ten roles will display. If the individual has more than ten roles, click View All.
- To download all of the roles in an easy to read and exportable format, click on the Download User Roles Table to Excel spreadsheet icon.
- Tip: Rename the saved file or save the name of the file to include the username, since the filename output will not be specific to the user.
