GL Mart access is granted through Central Directory Services (CDS) groups, and each group grants access to a specific set of GL accounts. This article covers how to request a new CDS group, or a change to an existing one, through Federated Authorization. This is not the form for giving or removing a specific person's GL Mart access — see the choices below.
Choose the Right Form
Note: This form doesn't grant anyone access.
Submitting a GL Mart Groups Request creates, changes, or retires the CDS security group itself — it does not add or remove any individual's GL Mart data access. To request access for yourself or someone else, use the
GL Mart Users Request form instead.
Before You Begin
Have the following ready before you open a request:
- Whether you're requesting a new group, a change to an existing group's accounts, or the retirement of a group no longer needed.
- The specific GL account(s) the group should cover.
- A short business justification for the group or the change.
How to Request a Group Change
- Open the GL Mart Groups Request form.
- Describe the group and the GL accounts it should cover, and provide your business justification.
- Select Submit.
- Your request routes automatically for the required approvals. You will receive email messages as it moves through each stage.
- Once every approval is complete, Pitt Digital Analytics implements the change and you'll receive a confirmation message.

Troubleshooting
I actually need to give someone access, not change a group.
Use the GL Mart Users Request form instead — see Using Federated Authorization for GL Mart Access.
I need a status update on a pending request.
Status visibility is limited to approvers. Contact your RC Financial Approver first. If they cannot help, contact the Technology Help Desk at 412-624-HELP (4357).
