Helpful Tips
- MyResNet-5G is the default network used for most devices. It provides fast speeds and the simplest connection process.
- MyResNet-6G provides faster performance and lower latency for newer devices that are capable of connecting to it. However, it requires extra steps the first time that you connect.
- Do not use Eduroam, and only use MyResNet-2G if you have an older device that cannot connect to MyResNet-5G or MyResNet-6G.
- If you connected to the network named “MyResNet Start Here” to set up your device on campus, be sure to forget this network from your device after you have created your account. This network has slower speeds and exists only to help get you up and running with your MyResNet account
