Overview
Liaison CAS school administrators receive a daily integration report via email for the decisions (admit, deny, withdraw, etc.) they coded in WebAdMIT and/or Outcomes. The email is titled “Liaison Admissions Decision Integration Report – [School Name] – [Date Stamp].”
Contained within this email is an attached spreadsheet that provides a list of all the applicants whose decision was imported to PeopleSoft. The attachment is titled “Decisions_Import_[School Name]_[Date Stamp].” Also, any application with a status of error or pending will be listed in the body of the email and may require action to correct depending on the error message.
The purpose of this article is to detail the common error messages that appear on the decision integration email, explain what caused the error message, and provide instructions on the corrective action needed, if necessary.
Detail
Common Error Messages, Explanation of the Error Message, and Resolution
Error Message: Application not found in PeopleSoft
Explanation: Simply put, this error message means the application does not exist in PeopleSoft > Student Admissions > Application Maintenance > Maintain Applications. There are a couple reasons why this could be the case.
Reason 1: The application did not import into PeopleSoft successfully during the application import integration.
Resolution 1: Follow the steps listed in the KB article Exported Admissions Application Not Found in Maintain Applications (PeopleSoft)
Reason 2: Application was manually entered into PeopleSoft.
Resolution 2: Manually update decision in PeopleSoft > Student Admissions > Application Maintenance > Maintain Applications.
Error Message: Student does not have valid program actions
Explanation: PeopleSoft does not allow certain program actions to be added as an additional row on an application depending on the current program action of the current effective dated row. There are a couple reasons why you received this error message.
Reason 1: The decision you added in WebAdMIT or Outcomes is not allowed to be added on top of the current decision that exists in PeopleSoft. For example, if an application has a DENY row as its most current row in PeopleSoft and you updated the decision in WebAdMIT or Outcomes to ADMT.
Resolution 1: In PeopleSoft >Student Admissions > Application Maintenance > Maintain Applications, manually add an APPL row and then manually add another row with the decision you set in WebAdMIT or Outcomes.
Reason 2: The decision you added in WebAdMIT or Outcomes already exists on the application PeopleSoft.
Resolution 2: Just check the application in PeopleSoft > Student Admissions >Application Maintenance > Maintain Applications and ensure the decision that exists is what you think it should be. If the decision is correct, no further action is needed.
