How To Manually Update Keychain Password For Printing On Pitt Managed & Personal Apple Computers
Overview
Keychain is an application that stores your passwords on your Apple devices to make it easier for the user experience. Your Pitt user name and password are what’s used to gain access to the department printers. When this password is changed through MyPitt Keychain does not automatically detect that change which is often why users experience the “Hold For Auth” status. Please use the instructions specific to your macOS.
Step 1a (macOS 12 - 14): “Open Keychain Access”
Finder (Smiley Face in Dock) > Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access

Step 1b (macOS Sequoia): “Open Keychain Access”
As of macOS Sequoia, Keychain Access.app is in the following location:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/Keychain Access.app
Click "Go" from Desktop > Click "Go To Folder" > Copy and Paste the path, press return > Proceed to Step 2
