How To Manually Update Keychain Password For Printing On Pitt Managed & Personal Apple Computers

Overview

Keychain is an application that stores your passwords on your Apple devices to make it easier for the user experience. Your Pitt user name and password are what’s used to gain access to the department printers. When this password is changed through MyPitt Keychain does not automatically detect that change which is often why users experience the “Hold For Auth” status.

Step 1: “Open Keychain Access”

Finder (Smiley Face in Dock) > Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access
