Alumni Account Switched Back to Primary Account Unexpectedly

Overview

This article provides a potential explanation for the situation where an individuals Alumni Account converted back to a Primary Account unexpectedly.

Detail

You may have received an email stating "Your Alumni Account Has Been Converted to a Primary University Computing Account". This is typically the result of still having an active Program as a student in the PeopleSoft Student Information System, such as a certificate, minor, etc. even though you may have recently graduated.

To determine if this is the case, log into PeopleSoft/HighPoint CX and from the Menu, select Academics > Programs. If any Programs display a Status of "Active in Program", and you are no longer pursuing that Program, you will need to consult with the associated school/department. It's possible this remaining active Program should have probably been discontinued by your school/department previously.

Once you no longer have any active programs as a student within the PeopleSoft Student Information System, your University Computing Account should transition back to an Alumni Account. Depending on timing, this could take several weeks.
