The following article describes how to purchase Zoom Premium add-ons, such as the Large Meeting 500 add-on and the Webinar 500 add-on, in the PantherExpress System.  Only authorized purchasers may order software through PantherExpress.

Premium add-ons require an annual renewal, and purchasers will receive an annual renewal notice.

Detail

  1. Authenticate in my.pitt.edu.
  2. Search for the PantherExpress system task.
  3. Search for "Zoom".  At the time of this writing, there are only two premium add-ons to purchase.
    1. Zoom 500 Participant Meeting Upgrade - this add-on should be purchased for meeting hosts who require more than the default 300 meeting participants.
      • Please note that this add-on does NOT enable the Webinar format and is NOT required if 500 participants are needed with the Webinar format.
    2. Zoom Webinar 500 Add-On - this add-on should be purchased for hosts who require the Zoom webinar format for up to 500 participants.
      • Please note that this add-on does NOT increase the default 300 meeting participant limit.  The 500 participant limit only applies to the Webinar format.
  4. Add the desired add-on to the cart.
  5. Confirm the quantity of licenses to purchase.
  6. Specify the primary user account to apply the licenses to.
    • Email aliases are not recognized in Zoom and will not be valid for applying licenses.
    • Premium add-ons do not apply to Zoom users with "basic" licenses.  User accounts not assigned to full-time faculty, staff, or students must first have a standard Zoom license applied to the account before purchasing a premium add-on.  These include sponsored accounts, resource accounts, or other users not entitled to primary accounts.
    • If a user requires both add-ons, a separate line item should be added for each add-on with the designated user added to each field.
    • For multiple licenses of the same type, multiple users should be designated in the text field.  For example, if ten Webinar licenses are required, the quantity should be set to 10 and ten user accounts should be designated.
  7. Checkout the order.

After purchasing, license orders may take up to one hour to process.  Designated users should then log into Zoom via myPitt to update their accounts.

Please contact the Technology Help Desk if you experience difficulties updating your account.
