Pitt IT Welcomes You to the University of Pittsburgh!

Account Information

Most things at Pitt will be accessed using your singular Pitt account, which will be provided for you once you finish enrolling in the University. Your account will be some combinations of 3 letters from your name followed by some numbers (example: Roc the Panther may receive the account RTP123).

Since your Pitt account is the key to the University, it's important that you do not share your password with anyone at any time. Passwords will require changing every 6 months.

Your account will be removed from the system after three semesters of no enrollment, or will become an Alumni account after graduation.

More information about accounts can be found here.

E-mail (Office 365)

Once your account becomes Primary, you will receive your Pitt e-mail address which is provided through Office 365. The format for your address will be:

username@pitt.edu

You can access your email using the link from the myPitt Portal (https://my.pitt.edu) or from https://outlook.office.com.
