Voice and Data Services provides local calling plans, on-campus phone lines, off-campus business lines, toll free numbers and voicemail. 

 

About This Service

Key Features

  • Microsoft Teams Phone Services: Users will be able to place and receive calls to and from their Pitt telephone numbers through MS Teams software installed on a desktop, laptop, or mobile device.
  • Auto Call Attendants: Auto attendants and Call queues can be set up to route callers to the appropriate person or department in your organization.
  •  including a variety of standard features such as personalized greetings, envelope information, and forwarding of messages. If your phone line hasn’t been converted to a MS Teams Phone line, we can add, change, reset your voicemail box and add Voicemail to Email.
  • Renovation and Construction: Pitt IT works closely with departments and Facilities Management during the planning and construction process to provide the infrastructure needed for high-quality data and voice services. Involve us in your building project early.
  • Phone Solution Consultations:  Pitt IT can work with your department to recommend a customized phone solution.
  • Mobile Devices:  Mobile Phones are managed by individual departments once approved as either a Tier I or Tier II acceptable use case.  More information can be found on the Purchase, Pay & Travel website: Mobile Phone Program | Purchase, Pay & Travel | University of Pittsburgh All other devices (hot spots, tablets, etc may be purchased through Pitt IT using a Mobile Device Request form.
  • IT Billing: The IT Billing system lets you view bills for your information technology services, including phone and data usage in an easy-to-use web interface. Report data can be viewed online or exported for offline use.
