uniFLOW Printer Installation

Overview

Using uniFLOW print drivers enhances your everyday printing tasks. This tool keeps your documents secure by ensuring only you can print them, which is great for protecting sensitive information. This printing method allows you to print from anywhere.

Download Software from Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (Mac OS)

University owned computers that are managed have the ability to download available titles from the Software Center or Self Service depending on the Operating System and if the department support. Both options allow you to install software with a click rather than needing to find the software, download it, enter administrator access, and install it.

Your device's eligibility are based on your department's management settings. Titles will vary depending on your department, licensing and other variables.

Follow the instructions found in the Download Software article. The icon to install uniFLOW will look like this:

Manual Install Instructions

To use any Windows or MacOS computer with your Canon printer, you can manually install the printer driver for your operating system by following these instructions:

  1. If you log in to https://pitt.us.uniflowonline.com/ using SSO, it will authenticate you through Microsoft.
  2. On the left side of the Dashboard, choose Start Printing.

  3. On the right-hand side, you will find the installer/driver to create a printer on your computer.
  4. Click on the driver for your operating system.
  5. Once downloaded, double-click on the file to install the software.

Other options on this page allow you to use your mobile devices. If you are using a Linux device, we recommend using the Chrome Web Store option on the lower right of this screen.

Printing Using 'Pitt Secure Printing'

The software installed above will create a printer on your computer called 'Pitt Secure Printing.'
